Corn mazes to get lost in
For thousands of years, people have amused themselves by wandering mazes. In recent years, the coming of fall has brought with it corn mazes. Intricate pathways, some designed by professional maze-makers, are carved out through 7-foot-high fields of corn and attract adventurers out to enjoy the waning warm-weather days. Here's a sampling of mazes in an eight-state area. All charge admission, and some operate only on weekends. For more mazes, check out cornmazesamerica.com. Phil Marty, Special to Tribune Newspapers
